Session 3 – Case Study on UX Website Design
Let’s say that in our UX Website design, a user wants to look for articles on UX research and we see something like this.
A Wireframe with some article text like “How To Do Usability Tests
The user sees the starting point:
Is the starting point discoverable? (Discoverable)
Do we understand what to do with the starting point? (Affordance)
Do we comprehend the language? (Comprehensible)
Can I predict what will happen next? (Predictability)
In the wireframe one would want to show that the starting point for UX research is the article on usability tests. What if the users didn’t know what a usability test was? Perhaps one could design this better by adding more context such as a tag, category, or label on UX Research.
Add the UX Research Tag/Label/Category
Would users understand what to do with the starting point? Perhaps adding a read more text to show there is more to the article might help?
Change text to simpler & more common language
Would users be able to predict what happens next? Is the result according to their expectations?
If users click on “read more” will they see the full page?
